We’ve sifted through hundreds of napkin & dress colors from leading manufacturers to find relevvant and current lighting color code matches. Choose from our list of brands or use a common color. Our LED uplights can be programmed to any color – there’s actually 16.7 million combinations to choose from! Color codes are not proprietary information in any way, but having a list of them is helpful to find a baseline match. Each code is made up of (3) numbers corresponding to the red, green, and blue values of our uplights. We recommend beginning with our color codes and adjusting the values to get the perfect hue.

100 code vs. 255 code?

Some of our lights use “100 codes”, while others use “255 codes”. This code represents the number of dimming levels of each color and varies by light type. Find the right color – and if we don’t have it, converting the codes is easy.

To convert from 100 to 255, multiply by 2.55. To convert from 255 to 100, divide by 2.55.

UPLIGHT CONFIGURATION

plug in & wake up

Plug your light fixture into a power outlet or an adjacent uplight. For wireless units, flip the switch on the back. Push any one of the buttons on the back of the fixture to wake it up. For best results, position the light so that the screen is on top, buttons are on the buttons.

Press “menu” to cycle through the options

Many RGB lights contain several operational modes, including static, flashing, color scrolling, sound activated, etc. For static color mode, press the MENU button until you arrive at the mode. This mode will allow you to set a custom color code for the lights.

set ‘r’, ‘g’, & ‘b’ colors

Once in the mode, press the ENTER button to select the R, G, B (red, green, blue) values. Using the UP and DOWN buttons, adjust the level of each color. To scroll quickly, press and hold the UP or DOWN buttons.

Once you have finished setting each color, press ENTER to save the color selection. While the color will initially appear correct if the ENTER button is not pressed, the fixture will revert to the last saved color after 10 seconds.

COLOR CODE QUESTIONS

Will you preset the color for me?

UplightRentals.com will preset the light color if determined when the order is placed. While other companies will charge you for this, we do this complementary service as we test each light prior to shipment. This ensures you always get functioning lights for your event.

How long does it take to set the color?

It takes approximately 60 seconds to set the uplight color. The first light may take a little longer, but once you get the hang of it – things go quicker.

What does the color code stand for?

Our RGB uplights each contain red (R), green (G), and blue (B) LEDs to create any of 16.7 million combinations (255 ^ 3).The uplight color code is made up of three numbers that stand for the red, green, and blue values of the light. Each value must be set individually on the light fixture using the up / down buttons on the back of the fixture.
