UNDERSTANDING RGB

RGB stands for “Red, Green, Blue”.  When this description is used in conjunction with a light, it typically describes a multi-colored light fixture.  RGB light fixtures contain three lights in one – a red light, green light, and a blue light.  By combining these three colors at varying intensities, it’s possible to create millions of color possibilities.

To set a light color, three values are necessary – red, green and blue. On most lights, these numerical values range from 0-255 (256 total values) and are listed in the order of red, green, and blue order.
